WordPress Base Theme Updated

Download WordPress Base Theme v2.0Last Updated 05-17-2010

I have updated my WordPress Base Theme to version 2.0.

Not much has changed really visually.

I’ve added better SEO support by changing the page titles to h1 tags instead of h2. I also added support for Greg’s High Performance SEO Plugin, which I feel is the best SEO plugin for WordPress. The title tags and some of the pages now use the plugin’s titles, secondary titles, and secondary descriptions, if available.

I added support for some of WordPress’s newer features such as featured images (formerly post thumbnails) and menus (coming soon in 3.0).

Finally, I added support for custom WYSIWYG editor CSS to match your theme. This file is called editor-style.css and is located in the /css/ directory. It will need to be edited to reflect the post styles you use in your theme.

How did you change the page titles to h1 instead of h2? Actually my site does not seem to be using any page titles that I can see. I am using Greg’s SEO plugin as well…what needs to be changed? Any help would be appreciated.

That would be done in your theme files. page.php will have the code for Pages.
